As intercessors we were summoned by God to meet Him at the place of the first landing site at Cape Henry, Virginia. We were asked to pray for the restoration of the covenant which the early English settlers made there with God. They dedicated the new land to God for the spread of the Gospel. Though we have walked away from that covenant God is still faithful. However, He requires repentance.
On August 19th of 2006 we were led by God to pray at the Emancipation Oak on the grounds of Hampton University. God required to confess many things, but especially slavery, abortion, excluding God from our educational institutions, and the false gospel of emphasizing prosperity over repentance and moral living.
We have recently celebrated the 400th Anniversary of the first
permanent English settlement in the New World at Jamestown, Virginia. Even before it grew into
a nation it had already been claimed by God as part of the missionary
covenant that the settlers made with Him. Prior to sailing to Jamestown
up the James River the settlers first went ashore at Cape Henry on the Atlantic Coast and gave thanks to God for their safe passage.
There they dedicated this new land to the spread of the Gospel. On May 9, 2007, which is the actual 400th anniversary date, God spoke to us again at the first landing site to reassure the nation. He is bringing revival. We must seek Him in holiness, allowing Him to prepare His bride to be the one true Church without spot or wrinkle.
God has opened the windows of heaven for all churches who will truly turn back to His ways. Participation in this revival merely requires sincere prayers of repentance. We must return to the cross and we must pick up our own cross and follow our Lord daily.
